Is he gone? demanded Magua, in tones so deep and guttural, that they seemed to proceed from his inmost chest. There was also the consideration - of which Knight was patently aware - that if your predicament or even intentions were such that the little helpers involvement was required, then you probably needed them a lot more than you needed the money.

She was shown looking after him, laughing, carelessly slapping one leg with her riding crop. For they had become more or less unconscious of their misery, especially the rich, so miserable were they like the man in Byron's 'Prisoner of Chillon, who, when his deliverers came, was indifferent, for he says: 'It was at length the same to me Fettered or fetterless to be: I had learned to love Despair.
Take a gander at my latest Redneck Sensei Rant, y’all, and learn the ninja secrets of the upcoming G.I. Joe: Retaliation movie, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Bruce Willis, and Channing Tatum.
What’s the good word, y’all? Today’s blog is about the mixed martial arts and UFC 146, specifically the heavyweight championship bout between Junior Dos Santos and contender Frank Mir.
As y’all know, I ain’t often talk about MMA, because, well, I got a love-hate relationship with it. Way I see it, most of these knucklehead MMA fighters lack the respect, discipline, and skill of true samurai like myself. But I reckon Sensei Lyoto Machida, Sensei Georges St. Pierre, and others in the UFC have brought mainstream attention to real martial arts. So, unlike a katana, it’s a double-edged sword.
This blog was brought about not because of this here love-hate relationship, but because some of my karate students have asked me who I think will win at UFC 146: Dos Santos or Mir.
I reckon I’ll take a stand on the matter, as both these fighters are real martial artists.
Dos Santos, the young champ, is a boxer with a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Frank Mir is a UFC veteran and holds black belts in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Kenpo Karate, a state champion in wrestling, and has extensive training in Muay Thai.
Don’t know about y’all, but my money’s on Mir.
As y’all know, my style of Quackenbush-Do Karate features dozens of styles, from Okiniwan Karate to wild-boar wrestling. It is perfection in its eclecticism. Mir subconsciously knows this, which is why he done learned a fraction of the styles found in Quackenbush-Do. Though no where near the amount of arts we have, Mir’s background gives him a significant advantage over Dos Santos, I reckon.
But we’ll have to see come May 26 if I’m right or not.
